Join a public screening of a film from the National Emergency Briefing team on the impact that Climate Change will have on us all.
The Otter valley Association is extremely concerned about the impact climate change will have on our local environment and our community. The OVA believes that it is important to educate the community, consider what steps can be made to mitigate changes and campaign with local communities, local councils and MP’s for country-wide changes.
This film categorises Climate Change according to various pillars as follows:
- Nature: Our Life Support System
- Climate: The World Is Heating Faster Than Expected
- Weather Extremes: The UK Is Already Feeling It
- Food Security: A Growing National Risk
- Health: Climate Change Is a Health Emergency
- Tipping Points: Irreversible Changes Are a Real Risk
- National Security: Climate Change Is a Security Threat
- Economics: Action Costs Less Than Inaction
- Energy Transition: A Fairer, Cheaper, More Secure Future
Hosted by Chris Packham, and with discussion from celebrities and members of the public, this is a compelling must-see film.
