Starting from the Land of Canaan long stay car park we follow the River Otter downstream past Pixies Parlour where we can help to rescue any bell ringers taken hostage by the Pixies, then set off cross country to climb Green Hill, taking in magnificent views over Ottery and the landscape beyond. We walk through the beech woods on top of the ridge until we join up with the Orange Way footpath which takes us back into Ottery.
Bring a flask for coffee for a well-earned coffee break at the top of Green Hill.
The Volunteer Inn in Ottery does good lunches (and great beer!) for those wishing to stay for a bite to eat
