Crossing open moorland on the Two Moors Way, the route drops down to the rural hamlets of West Combe and Lower Hookner. At the Heathercombe estate, a long climb back onto the moor will bring us to our lunch stop at Grimspound (bring a picnic). From there, the route passes through a landscape bearing the scars of human activity across the millennia and back to the start.
