From the Upper Linhay car park we head via tracks and lanes to a long gradual descent to Fluxton. Our route then takes us through the hamlets of Metcombe and Venn Ottery, where we will take our lunch on the village green. The return is over Venn Ottery Hill and the RSPB reserve and through surprisingly green areas of West Hill. There will be stops for coffee and a picnic lunch.
