“The Penn’s Pen Hill Perambulations”

Meet: Manor Estate Yard Car Park, Sidbury
OS 115, SY 1389 9186; EX10 0SN; what3words///shackles.soda.truffles
Exploring the hills and valleys above Sidbury. Walking north from Sidbury, passing the Sand Estate, then ascending Pen Hill. Walking along the ridge affords glimpses through the trees of the valleys on either side. Descending to the valley floor to meet up with the East Devon Way, which leads us back into Sidbury. A few steep ascents and descents, and can be muddy, so stout footwear is essential, poles would be useful.
The Red Lion has excellent beer and food for those wishing to stay for lunch. Bring a coffee for a break overlooking the picturesque valley of Romcombe Stream.
