Title:

Levick, Rodney Beeton M (1920 – 1999)
Century:
C20
Location:
Budleigh Salterton
East Budleigh
Description:

Rodney Levick was Mrs Beeton’s great grandson. Described in Kathryn Hughes’ 2005 biography of Mrs Isabella Beeton as: an eccentric man who lived for 50 years on his grandfather’s capital.  He came to live in Whitewater House, Inner Ting Tong (formally in East Budleigh parish), with his widowed mother, some stuffed penguins and a lot of Beeton archives and ephemera in 1956.  The penguins were relics from his father’s (George Murray Levick – 1877-1956) expedition with Robert Falcon Scott to the Antarctic in 1910-1913, as its surgeon. RBML ended his days in residential care somewhere in East Devon.
