About the Otter Valley Association

The Otter Valley Association was formed as an amenity society to interest residents and visitors in the history, geography, natural history, present architecture and future planning of this area of Devon.

The OVA organises talks and guided walks, publishes a quarterly news-letter and works with local councils and other environmental organisations. The current membership of the Otter Valley Association exceeds 1,000 members.

A recent activity is the Mark Rolle project investigating the Mark Rolle Houses. The Otter Valley covers an area of East Devon from Newton Poppleford and Harpford to Budleigh Salterton following the River Otter down to the sea.
